Networking Canadian Style - Networking Event for International Students

Are you a John Molson international student looking to practice your networking skills? 

Attend the Networking Canadian Style event hosted by CMS and get the opportunity to practice your networking skills with HR professionals and former John Molson international students who are now successfully working in Montreal.

Receive tips on how to network, learn more about various industries and recruitment cycles, and hear alumni success stories from former international students.

Confirmed participants include representatives/alumni from the following organizations: BRP, Candorvision, Maples Group, Morgan Stanley, SAP, DNA Capital - with more to be confirmed soon!

The session is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Industry/Alumni participants are not actively recruiting but rather giving their time to help students hone their networking skills, make connections, and share their expertise and insights into their various fields.
 
Student Preparation

Get ready!

You are encouraged to attend one of our Networking workshops prior to the event, but they are not mandatory.
 
Networking Canadian Style Prep workshops will be offered at the following times at CMS. Register on ConneXions via the workshops calendar:
 
Thursday, March 23, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Event Format

The first half of the event will be in a "speed networking" format. Students and Industry/Alumni participants will participate in 5 rounds of 10-minute speed networking activities, followed by open networking.

Dress professionally, bring a copy of your resume and be prepared to introduce yourself.
 
A list of potential networking questions and information regarding the Industry/Alumni participants will be sent to students prior to the event.

Please note that this event is targeting international students and newcomers. All students are welcome.

If you sign up for this event, it is expected that you will show up or cancel as there is limited space. Please arrive 15 minutes early to register and dress business professional (no jeans or leggings).
