JMSB international students, are you interested in starting your career in Toronto and ready to expand your network?
The C-RISE Program at CMS (Powered by Scotiabank) invite you to join us for the rare chance to network with JMSB alumni and top-tier employers in Toronto over three-days: May 15 to 17, 2024. All expenses will be paid for students who are selected.
Students will learn more about the Toronto work environment, develop personal and professional contacts in Toronto, meet companies who have hired JMSB students in the past, and connect with international student alumni now living in the GTA. We will also have an in depth visit with our sponsor, Scotiabank. This trip is solely for networking purposes rather than active recruitment.
This program is open to all international students at JMSB; however, priority will be given to students who have participated in previous C-RISE Programming (Seminars, Networking Events, Practice Interview Day, & other Workshops) or who have regularly attended other CMS events.
Students who are selected are expected to participate in all planned activities.
Date: Wednesday May 15th - Friday 17th 2024
Approximate departures time: Early Wednesday morning, leaving Toronto Friday afternoon.
Transportation: Train (Montreal Center Station to Toronto Union Station)
Company Tours: Scotiabank (more employers to be added)
Alumni Cocktail: Get the chance to network with JMSB alumni who are now in Toronto and working at interesting companies!
Cost: Free for currently enrolled John Molson School of Business international students (meals, train and hotel covered by JMSB powered by Scotiabank).
Eligibility Requirements:
In order to be considered you must
- Be available from May 15-May 17 for the duration of the trip, and travel with the group.
- Be a currently enrolled student at JMSB with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (December 2023 graduates are eligible if your convocation is in the spring)
- Must be currently enrolled as an International Student ( i.e. not a Permanent Resident)
- Have attended previous C-RISE events, seminars, workshops or other CMS events
- Be at least 19 years old on May 15th 2024
- Have a genuine interest in developing a career in Toronto
